The Health and Life Skills Core Program area develops young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and develop the competencies to live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
A Wide Array of Healthy Programs
From growing gardens with delicious fresh fruit and vegetables to offering healthy snacks and lunches, the Clubs encourage active lifestyles and nutritious eating among its members. After all, healthy kids become healthy, productive adults.
The Clubs also promote good choices and avoiding negative behaviors. Avoiding alcohol and drugs, finding non-violent solutions to disputes and maintaining positive relations with others are vital skills members learn at the Clubs.
